What Is the Canon RF Mount?

The RF mount is Canon's current mirrorless mount, introduced in 2018 alongside the original EOS R. All Canon EOS R series cameras use the RF mount, meaning RF and RF-S lenses work across the entire Canon mirrorless lineup. The mount supports fast electronic communication between lens and body, enabling Canon's Dual Pixel CMOS AF system to perform at its best. Legacy EF lenses can also be used on EOS R cameras via Canon's EF-EOS R mount adapter.
